UGC NET June 2026 Cut Off

The result declared on August 28 does not cover English, Commerce and Sociology. NTA had earlier constituted a committee to examine complaints regarding errors in these three question papers, and based on the committee's findings, these papers will be re conducted on September 9 and 10, 2026. Candidates appearing for the re‑conducted papers are not required to pay any additional examination fee. NTA has clarified that candidates from these three subjects may see an "Invalid Application Number or Password" message if they try to access their scorecard before the re‑examination is completed, and this does not indicate any issue with their login credentials.

How UGC NET Qualification Works

NTA determines the number of qualified candidates in each subject based on a fixed formula, under which the total number of candidates declared qualified is calculated as a percentage of those who appeared in both papers, distributed across categories as per the applicable reservation policy.
