GATE PI - Production and Industrial Engineering

GATE PI (Production and Industrial Engineering) is a specialized GATE paper that covers the full spectrum of manufacturing, production, and industrial engineering disciplines. Conducted by IITs and IISc on a rotational basis, it evaluates candidates on Engineering Mathematics, General Engineering, Manufacturing Processes, Quality & Reliability, Industrial Engineering, and Operations Research. A qualifying GATE PI score enables admission to M.Tech/M.S./Ph.D. programs at IITs, NITs, IIITs, and CFTIs specializing in manufacturing, industrial engineering, and production technology, and is accepted for PSU recruitment in organizations like BHEL, HAL, SAIL, GAIL, BEL, NTPC, and DRDO. Candidates can also appear for GATE PI along with ME, MT, or XE as a second paper.
