The UPSC Civil Services Examination (CSE) is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission to recruit officers for the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Revenue Service (IRS) and other Group-A and Group-B Central Services. It is conducted in three stages: Preliminary Examination (screening), Main Examination (merit-determining written), and Personality Test (Interview). It is widely regarded as the most prestigious and competitive examination in India.
