The CTET 2026 result is the culmination of months of preparation across CDP theories, NCERT content, language pedagogy, and exam practice. Understanding the result document — what the mark sheet contains, what qualifying means, how the certificate works, and what career pathways open up — is as important as preparing for the exam itself.
Unlike competitive examinations where your rank determines your college or job directly, CTET qualification is a binary eligibility certification. You either qualify (and receive a lifetime-valid certificate opening teaching career pathways) or you do not qualify (and can reappear without restriction). The certificate itself is the valuable document; the score determines how competitive you are in subsequent teacher recruitment processes.
CTET September 2026 will be conducted on September 6, 2026. Based on the pattern from CTET January 2025 (result approximately 6 to 8 weeks after exam), the CTET 2026 result is expected in October to November 2026.
This page covers the complete CTET 2026 result process: expected result date, step-by-step mark sheet download, field-by-field explanation of the scorecard, the CTET certificate and its lifetime validity, the answer key challenge process, post-result career pathways including KVS and NVS recruitment, and what to do if you did not qualify.
Live Update: The CTET 2026 result link will be posted here immediately upon official declaration by CBSE at ctet.nic.in. Expected: October to November 2026.

Before the final result, CBSE releases a provisional answer key. Candidates can challenge answers they believe are incorrect.
| Step Details | |
| Provisional answer key release | Within 2 to 3 weeks of exam |
| Challenge window | 2 to 3 days after provisional key |
| Challenge fee | Rs. 1,000 per question challenged (non-refundable if rejected) |
| How to challenge | Log in at ctet.nic.in; select question; submit reason with reference material |
| Expert review | CBSE panel reviews valid challenges |
| Final answer key | Released before result; incorporates accepted challenges |
| Refund | Challenge fee refunded if challenge accepted |
When to challenge: Only if you have a specific, evidence-backed reason. For CTET, the strongest challenges cite specific NCERT textbook pages, RTE Act sections, or CBSE curriculum documents that contradict the provisional answer. Since CTET marks are +1 per question, even a single accepted challenge adds 1 mark — potentially moving a borderline candidate from 89 (Not Qualified) to 90 (Qualified).
KVS recruitment for PRT (Primary Teacher, Classes I-V) requires CTET Paper I qualification. For TGT (Trained Graduate Teacher, Classes VI-VIII), CTET Paper II is required.

Eligibility recap for KVS TGT:
NVS PGT, TGT, and Miscellaneous category positions require CTET qualification for TGT posts. NVS conducts its own written exam. Vacancies at navodaya.gov.in.
