GATE 2027 is organized jointly by the eight IITs (Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras, Roorkee, BHU) and IISc Bengaluru. The responsibility rotates annually. The organizing institute for GATE 2027 will be confirmed by mid-2026.

After the exam, the GATE committee releases a provisional answer key on the official portal. The answer key contains the correct responses for all questions across all sessions.
Provisional Answer Key: Released approximately 1 to 2 weeks after the exam. Candidates can use this to calculate an approximate raw score by applying the marking scheme (+1 or +2 for correct, -1/3 or -2/3 for wrong MCQs, 0 for MSQ and NAT errors).
Answer Key Challenge Window: After the provisional key is published, a challenge window opens for approximately 5 to 7 days. Candidates who disagree with any answer can raise an objection by paying a challenge fee per question. Challenges must be submitted through the official portal with supporting evidence (textbook references, research papers, etc.).
Final Answer Key: After reviewing all valid challenges, the committee releases the final answer key. The result is computed based only on the final answer key.

The GATE CS 2027 result is expected in March 2027. It is announced on the official GOAPS portal. Candidates can check their result by logging in with their enrollment ID and password.
