The IBPS RRB Officer Scale-I result is released in three separate stages corresponding to the Preliminary Examination, the Main Examination, and the Final Allotment. Each stage result determines who advances to the next stage of the selection process. Understanding when each result is released, exactly how to access it, what the scorecard contains, and what immediate actions must follow is essential for every candidate in the IBPS RRB cycle.
One of the most valuable features of the IBPS RRB result system is that scorecards are released for all candidates who appeared in each stage - not just those who qualified. Every Mains-appearing candidate can download their section-wise marks and compare against the state-wise cutoff, enabling precise performance analysis for the next cycle.
This page covers the complete result process for IBPS RRB Officer Scale-I 2026 with confirmed dates from the 2025 cycle, step-by-step instructions for checking each result, what the scorecard contains, the final allotment process, and post-result steps.
For the complete exam guide, visit the IBPS RRB Officer Scale-I main page. For cutoff marks applicable at each stage, see the IBPS RRB Officer Scale-I Cutoff page.

Note on 2025 timeline anomaly: The 2025 cycle was significantly delayed due to examination rescheduling. Prelims originally planned for August 2025 were ultimately held in November 2025, and Mains in December 2025. The 2026 cycle returns to the conventional timeline with Prelims in November 2026 and Mains in December 2026 per the IBPS Annual Calendar.
Based on the 2025 pattern, the expected 2026 result timeline is:
The Prelims result confirms whether you have been shortlisted for the Mains examination. IBPS shortlists approximately 10 to 15 times the total Officer Scale-I vacancies per state and category from the Prelims.
The 2025 Prelims result was released on 24th December 2025 - approximately 1 month after the last Prelims date of 23rd November 2025.
The Prelims result comes with a Prelims Scorecard showing:
Prelims marks are not counted in any final merit calculation. The scorecard serves only as a performance reference.
Step 1: Visit the official IBPS website at ibps.in
Step 2: Navigate to "CRP RRBs XV" under Current Recruitment Projects. Click on the relevant link for Officers Scale-I Prelims Result.
Step 3: A login page appears. Enter:
Step 4: Click Submit. Your result status and scorecard are displayed.
Step 5: Click "Download Scorecard" to save the PDF. Print at least one copy.
The IBPS RRB Prelims result is individual login-based - there is no single public PDF listing all roll numbers. Each candidate checks their own status using their registration credentials.
If shortlisted for Mains:
If not shortlisted:
The Mains result is the most consequential result in the IBPS RRB Officer Scale-I cycle. It shortlists candidates for the Interview stage at approximately 3 times the vacancies per state and category. The Mains result PDF lists roll numbers of shortlisted candidates state-wise.
The 2025 Mains result was released on 27th February 2026 - approximately 8 weeks after the Mains examination on 28th December 2025. The Mains scorecard was released separately on 30th January 2026 - before the Mains result itself. This is an unusual sequencing where the scorecard was released before the shortlist for interviews. The final allotment based on the combined Mains + Interview score followed later.
The Mains result is accompanied by a Mains Scorecard showing:
Method 1 - Shortlist PDF:
Method 2 - Scorecard Login:
Both the shortlist PDF and the individual login-based scorecard are released, allowing candidates to check both ways.
Since the Mains is conducted in two shifts with different question papers, IBPS normalises scores to ensure candidates in harder shifts are not disadvantaged. The normalised score on the scorecard may differ from the raw score you estimate from the official answer key.
Cutoffs are applied to normalised scores, not raw scores. A candidate who estimates 120 raw marks may see 117 or 123 on their normalised scorecard depending on how their shift compared to the other shift's difficulty level.
If shortlisted for Interview:
If not shortlisted:
The Final Result is based on the weighted combined score of Mains (80%) and Interview (20%). This combined score, expressed out of 100, determines final merit and allotment to specific RRBs.
The final result is published as a PDF list of selected candidates' roll numbers, typically state-wise. Candidates search their roll number in the PDF to confirm provisional selection.
Additionally, IBPS releases the final allotment details showing which candidate has been allotted to which specific RRB within their preferred state. The allotment is based on the candidate's final merit rank, their stated bank preference order, and the available vacancies in each bank.
A candidate who scored 145 in Mains and 62 in Interview:
For comparison with the highest 2025 final cutoff of 55.08 (Tamil Nadu, UR), this candidate would be selected in Tamil Nadu. In a state with a lower cutoff (say 40), this candidate has significant margin.
IBPS releases one or more reserve lists after the main final result to fill vacancies created by:
Reserve list cutoffs are typically 2 to 5 marks below the main final cutoff for each state and category. Candidates clustered just below the main cutoff should monitor ibps.in for reserve list releases.
After the Final Result, provisionally selected candidates receive joining instructions from their allotted RRB. The sequence is:
Document Verification: Report to the allotted RRB's Head Office or designated centre with all original certificates. Documents required include educational certificates from Class 10 to Graduation, date of birth proof, category certificate, local language proficiency proof (Class 8+ marksheet), and identity documents. Any mismatch between application data and documents leads to disqualification.
Medical Examination: Basic pre-employment medical check at a bank-empanelled hospital confirming general fitness for the role.
Language Proficiency Verification: Candidates who proved local language proficiency through Class 8+ marksheet are confirmed exempt. Candidates who did not have documented proficiency are given 6 months from joining to acquire it.
Joining and Probation: Selected candidates join the allotted RRB as Officer Scale-I (Probationary Officer). A 2-year probation period follows during which performance is evaluated. After successful completion, the officer is confirmed as a regular employee at the Assistant Manager level.
For candidates who were not selected, the Mains scorecard is the most diagnostic tool available:
If you failed a sectional cutoff: Identify which section fell below its minimum. Computer Knowledge (20 marks) and General Awareness (40 marks) are the most common sections where underprepared candidates fail sectional cutoffs while performing well overall. Target these specifically in the next cycle.
If your overall score was below the state cutoff: The gap between your score and the cutoff tells you how much improvement is needed. For a 10-mark gap in the final combined score, you need approximately 12.5 more marks in Mains (since Mains contributes 80% scaled from 200, each additional Mains mark adds 0.4 to the final score).
If your score was above the Mains cutoff but below the final combined cutoff: The interview performance requires specific improvement. Targeted interview preparation with focus on NABARD, rural banking, and agricultural credit is the priority.
