CA Final 2026 is the third and most advanced level of the Chartered Accountancy (CA) course conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). It is the ultimate gateway to earning the prestigious Chartered Accountant (CA) designation and ICAI membership. Under the ICAI New Scheme of Education and Training, CA Final consists of 6 rigorous papers divided into two groups — Group I (Financial Reporting, Advanced Financial Management, Advanced Auditing, Assurance and Professional Ethics) and Group II (Direct Tax Laws and International Taxation, Indirect Tax Laws, Integrated Business Solutions). Paper 6 is a unique multidisciplinary case-study-based paper integrating knowledge from accounting, auditing, taxation, corporate laws, finance and strategic management. Each paper carries 100 marks with a 70:30 split between descriptive and objective (MCQ) questions, except Paper 6 which is entirely case-study based for 4 hours. Candidates must score 40% in each paper and 50% aggregate per group to pass. To be eligible to appear in CA Final, students must pass both groups of CA Intermediate, complete 2 years of Articleship (Practical Training), clear all 4 Self-Paced Online Modules (SPOM) and complete the required Advanced ICITSS training. CA Final is widely regarded as one of the toughest professional examinations in India. Mastery of the CA Final syllabus — covering Ind AS financial reporting, advanced financial management, SEBI regulations, DTAA, BEPS, GST and customs law, advanced auditing standards and integrated business case analysis — is essential for a successful career in chartered accountancy, audit, taxation, investment banking and corporate finance.
CA Foundation is the entry-level examination of the Chartered Accountancy (CA) course conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). It is the first of three levels — Foundation, Intermediate and Final — that a student must clear to become a Chartered Accountant. The exam consists of four papers covering Accounting, Business Laws, Quantitative Aptitude and Business Economics. It is conducted three times a year (January, May and September sessions). Passing CA Foundation is mandatory to progress to the CA Intermediate level.
CA Intermediate 2026 is the second level of the Chartered Accountancy (CA) course conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) under the New Scheme of Education and Training. Also known as CA Inter or IPCC successor, this exam is a critical milestone in the CA journey, bridging the gap between CA Foundation and CA Final. Under the revised ICAI New Scheme, CA Intermediate now consists of 6 papers divided into two groups — Group I (Advanced Accounting, Corporate and Other Laws, Taxation) and Group II (Cost and Management Accounting, Auditing and Ethics, Financial Management and Strategic Management). Each paper carries 100 marks with a 70:30 split between descriptive and objective (MCQ) questions. Candidates must score a minimum of 40% in each paper and 50% aggregate per group to pass. CA Intermediate is conducted three times a year — in January, May and September sessions. Clearing both groups of CA Intermediate and completing ICITSS training is mandatory to register for CA Final. The syllabus is designed to build advanced conceptual knowledge in accounting standards (Ind AS), GST, Income Tax, company law, cost accounting, auditing ethics, financial management and strategic management — equipping students with the skills required for professional articleship and real-world financial practice.
