Of all the preparation resources available to CUET UG aspirants, previous year question papers provide the most authentic insight into how NTA tests NCERT content. Every CUET PYQ is a real question asked in an actual examination, drawn directly from Class 12 NCERT textbooks, calibrated to the exact difficulty and question format that NTA applies year after year.
CUET UG has been conducted since 2022. While that gives only 4 years of PYQ data compared to NEET's 10+ years or JEE Main's longer history, the consistency of the CUET pattern within these 4 years is remarkable. The same chapters dominate year after year in every subject. Business Studies questions appear from the same management principles chapters. Biology questions on Genetics and Ecology appear in every edition. Economics questions on National Income appear consistently. This pattern data, derived from 4 years of actual CUET papers, is the most reliable guide for CUET UG 2027 preparation.
This page covers: the complete CUET PYQ library from 2022 to 2025, subject-wise chapter frequency analysis for all major subjects, most repeated topics and question types, how to use PYQs at each preparation phase, the difference between pre-2024 and post-2024 CUET question styles (discontinuation of normalisation, all questions compulsory), and access to the complete PYQ repository.

| Year Exam Dates Question Papers Notable Features | |||
| CUET UG 2022 | July 15-30, 2022 | Multiple sets per subject across shifts | First year; some technical issues; pattern established |
| CUET UG 2023 | May 21-June 15, 2023 | Multiple sets per subject | Pattern refined; optional questions in some papers |
| CUET UG 2024 | May 15-31, 2024 | Multiple sets per subject | Normalisation discontinued; all questions compulsory |
| CUET UG 2025 | May 13-June 2025 | Multiple sets per subject | Stable post-2024 pattern; uniform 60 min per subject |
Pre-2024 papers had optional questions (e.g., attempt 40 of 50). Post-2024 papers have all 50 questions compulsory. When practising 2022 and 2023 papers, attempt all 50 questions rather than using the original optional format to simulate the current exam condition.
Pre-2024 papers also used normalised scores for cutoffs. Since normalisation is discontinued from 2024, the raw score on the paper directly determines admission cutoffs. This makes high raw score preparation more important than before.

CUET domain subject questions are based on Class 12 NCERT. However, not every line in NCERT is equally important for CUET. PYQ analysis over 4 years reveals which specific paragraphs, diagrams, tables, and examples NTA tests repeatedly. This granular data cannot be obtained from any textbook or coaching module.
For example, in CUET Biology, questions from Genetics chapters (Mendelian Laws, Molecular Basis of Inheritance) appear in every session since 2022. In CUET Accountancy, Partnership accounts, Share Capital, and Financial Statement Analysis dominate every paper. In CUET Political Science, Cold War Era, Globalisation, and Indian political parties appear consistently.
CUET has specific question formats: assertion-reason, match-the-following, case-study with 5 linked questions, source-based reading, and direct MCQs. The proportion of each type differs by subject. Only exposure to actual CUET papers reveals the exact mix for each subject.
Assertion-reason and case-study questions have increased since 2023 in Commerce and Social Science subjects. Candidates who only practise direct MCQs from NCERT are unprepared for these higher-order question types.
CUET questions are easier than NEET or JEE Main questions from the same topic. Practising only JEE or NEET material overestimates the preparation level needed. CUET PYQs calibrate your preparation to the actual difficulty, ensuring you do not over-prepare while also revealing genuine gaps.
After solving 4 years of any subject's PYQs, the chapters that must be mastered become unmistakably clear. This data-backed chapter priority list is more reliable than any coaching institute's prediction.

After completing each chapter from NCERT, immediately solve all PYQs from that chapter from 2022 to 2025. This reveals:
Use CUET UG PYQ for chapter-wise sorted PYQ access across all subjects.
Solve complete year-wise subject papers (all 50 questions) under timed conditions (60 minutes). This builds the per-question time awareness critical for CUET's tight 72-second average.
Combine PYQs from multiple years into 50-question, 60-minute mock tests that mix question styles and difficulty levels. This is the highest-fidelity CUET simulation available. Access PYQ-integrated mocks through CUET UG Full Length Mocks.
Mistake 1: Solving without the time limit CUET's 60-minute window for 50 questions means 72 seconds per question on average. Solving PYQs at leisure builds comprehension but not exam-condition speed. Always set a 60-minute timer.
Mistake 2: Using the optional question format from 2022-2023 papers 2022 and 2023 papers had optional questions (attempt 40 of 50 in some subjects). Practise all 50 since 2024 and 2026 make all 50 compulsory.
Mistake 3: Skipping the answer key challenge process After solving each paper, spend 20 to 30 minutes reading detailed explanations for every wrong answer. The explanation identifies the specific NCERT line or concept the question was based on, building a targeted revision list.
Mistake 4: Ignoring PYQs from 2022 as "too old" 2022 was the first CUET year. The question patterns, chapter priorities, and question styles established in 2022 have remained consistent through 2025. 2022 papers are equally valuable despite being the earliest.
Mistake 5: Not tracking chapter-level accuracy across years After solving 4 years of PYQs for a subject, calculate your accuracy per chapter across all years. Chapters where you score below 50% consistently need re-reading from NCERT. Chapters where you score above 80% consistently are your strength areas.
Q1. How many years of CUET UG PYQs should I solve? All 4 years (2022 to 2025) are available and valuable. Since CUET started in 2022, there are only 4 years of papers. Solve all of them for each subject you are appearing in.
Q2. Are CUET UG PYQs available for free? Year-wise and subject-wise CUET PYQ PDFs are made available on the official NTA website post-result. Aspirant Mitraa provides chapter-wise organised PYQs with solutions at CUET UG PYQ.
Q3. Are CUET questions repeated from previous years? NTA does not officially repeat questions. However, the chapters tested, question formats used, and concept types examined are highly consistent across years. Solving PYQs gives strong familiarity with what to expect even if verbatim questions are not repeated.
Q4. How should I practice PYQs for assertion-reason and case-study questions? For assertion-reason: Practice evaluating each statement independently before judging the relationship. For case-study: Read the passage/data carefully, identify key facts, then answer each linked question. Practice both types specifically from 2023 to 2025 papers where these formats increased.
Q5. Which CUET subjects benefit most from PYQ practice? Every subject benefits, but Biology, Accountancy, and Economics show the highest PYQ repetition rates in terms of chapter and concept patterns. Business Studies benefits most from familiarity with case-study format from PYQs.
